Subcommittees
The Presidential Committee on Life and Safety establishes and operates four subcommittees to conduct specialized prior research and review of agenda items submitted to the plenary session, and to carry out substantive policy inspections in each sector.
-
Subcommittee on Life and Safety
Supports the establishment of basic directions and mid- to long-term strategies for a safe society that respects life, and coordinates and oversees the implementation of major inter-ministerial policies.
-
Subcommittee on Disaster Safety
Focuses on reviewing measures to prevent human casualties in major disaster areas, including natural disasters (such as storm and flood damage, earthquakes), large-scale fires and wildfires, and crowd-related accidents.
-
Subcommittee on Daily Life Safety
Deliberates on reduction measures across four core daily life safety areas directly linked to the everyday lives of citizens: industrial accidents, suicide prevention, traffic safety, and child safety.
-
Subcommittee on the Protection of Victims’ Rights
Deliberates on special protective measures for safety-vulnerable groups—such as children, older adults, and persons with disabilities—and institutional systems to guarantee the rightful entitlements of accident victims.
